On September 3, 2024, Paul Harrell left the world of the living.
I assume that most readers know who Paul Harrell was since he was a well known YouTuber, or GunTuber, who started publishing videos in 2012 with the primary goal of putting out useful or at least interesting information. I can’t recall exactly when I found his channel, but it wasn’t long after I had developed a deep interest in all things firearms and started this blog with an almost identical mission.
While I didn’t always agree with Mr. Harrell’s perspectives or opinions, I found them to be sincere, insightful, and interesting. More often than not, I found them to be useful. As such, I am of the opinion that his primary goal was achieved.
I will miss his humor and Shatneresque pauses, but I am glad his YouTube channel remains along with over 400 published videos. I also hope that his brother, Roy Harrell, is successful in continuing the legacy Paul Harrell leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Paul Harrell.

I saw his video he recorded last year, to be released upon his death. He will be missed.
