Wrapping up the fundamentals of safe gun handling with this post on the fourth rule. Short version… only press the trigger when you are certain and confident of what will follow as you will be responsible and accountable for it.
Placing a finger on the trigger should only be a deliberate and intentional act. Indexing the trigger finger along the side of the gun should be the default instinctive and habitual behavior.
What does it actually mean to keep a muzzle pointed in a safe direction? Are there any exceptions to this rule?
