Third Rule of Gun Safety Distilled: Only Place Your Finger on the Trigger When You Are Ready To Shoot
Placing a finger on the trigger should only be a deliberate and intentional act. Indexing the trigger finger along the side of the gun should be the default instinctive and habitual behavior.
What does it actually mean to keep a muzzle pointed in a safe direction? Are there any exceptions to this rule?
Never assume the condition of a firearm, always confirm it.
I’m happy to see the population of gun owners grow regardless of the reason or circumstance. I welcome all of them. I encourage all of them to learn the safe gun handling as it is a responsibility that comes with ownership.
