Shot two more IDPA matches this month. Both matches took place at the Austin Rifle Club and were hosted by Texas Tactical. It was uneventful in terms of how the Sig Sauer P229 ran, which is good given the malfunctions I most likely induced last month.
First match in May and my fifth overall was not what I was hoping for. It was a smaller turnout and I came in dead last place in the standard service pistol (SSP) division. Overall it wasn’t my worst performance in terms of overall time which was 218.42. […]
In my mind, the Desert Eagle is one of the most iconic firearms of all time – but that’s probably because I’m into Marvel comics and it just so happens that Deadpool dual-wields Desert Eagles in the movie. This Desert Eagle is a really fun gun to shoot […]
This little Sig fan boy is now officially one of the cool kids who own and shoot 10mm pistols. Just kidding. Wait, no I’m not. Seriously though, the Sig Sauer P220 Legion in 10mm is pretty nice and 10mm is a blast (pun intended).
Another IDPA match complete. Not a significant improvement from the prior match one week ago, but an improvement nonetheless. Time to practice for the next match.
The Springfield Armory XD-S is a reliable single stack micro pistol that is easy to conceal and carry. However, I find it to be difficult to comfortably shoot well in .45 ACP.
I should get a second one just so I can dual wield these like Deadpool, but alas had access to one which was reviewed at the work bench.
