Admittedly, I was apprehensive about the 2023 Staccato Area 4 Championship as it was my first major USPSA match. I would have liked to have performed better, but the lessons learned will help me grow as a competitor and a handgunner.

Trying things outside of our comfort zone can provide a different perspective which can deepen our understanding and appreciation. I think this applies to shooting as well and my recent competitive shooting shenanigans appear to confirm that.
CZ makes some amazing competition pistols. The CZ 75 TS Czechmate was one of those. Even though it doesn’t dominate USPSA/IPSC Open and Limited divisions like the Shadow 2 dominates Carry Optics and Production divisions, it’s still worth taking a look at.
